SkillBox Expands Into Sports With Super League Kerala Partnership

India, September 2026: SkillBox has been announced as the exclusive ticketing partner for Super League Kerala (SLK), marking the live entertainment platform’s first foray into sports.

The partnership begins with the third season of Super League Kerala, scheduled to kick off on September 25. The league returns with six clubs: Calicut FC, Forca Kochi FC, Kannur Warriors FC, Malappuram FC, Thiruvananthapuram Kombans FC and Thrissur Magic FC.

Having built its business across live entertainment, events and technology, SkillBox will bring its existing infrastructure and experience to one of India’s most engaged football markets, while using the partnership as a foundation for its growing ambitions in sport.

According to figures published by Super League Kerala, cumulative stadium attendance grew from 451,892 in its inaugural season to 547,693 in Season 2, while television reach increased from 12.76 million to 25.32 million.

Adding immense star power, elite leadership, and top-tier football pedigree to the league, the six SLK franchises boast high-profile management alongside star-studded squads. The team ownership and leadership groups are spearheaded by prominent figures, featuring Indian cricket star Sanju Samson as co-owner of Malappuram FC, renowned parliamentarian Shashi Tharoor as the chief patron of Thiruvananthapuram Kombans FC, and leading Pan - Indian actor Prithviraj Sukumaran as co-owner of Forca Kochi FC.

On the pitch, the competitive quality of the league is significantly elevated by major Indian Super League (ISL) stars who featured prominently in past seasons of Super League Kerala—such as lethal forward Roy Krishna, defensive stalwart Mailson Alves, prolific striker Ishan Pandita, alongside experienced names like Lenny Rodrigues, Rafael Augusto, and Michael Soosairaj. With many more star players and top-flight talents gearing up for the upcoming campaign, the stage is set for an electrifying season ahead.
