Human Excellence Awards Honour Outstanding Service To Human Rights

CHENNAI, TAMIL NADU | 05 SEPTEMBER 2026 The prestigious Human Excellence Awards were conferred upon Dr. Alwin Timothy Roland, International Vice Chairperson of the International Human Rights Commission and Peace Ambassador, and Leo Patrick Christy, National Secretary of the International Human Rights Commission, Human Rights Defender and Chief Secretary of the National Bharath Sevak Samaj, Government of India, in recognition of their dedicated contribution and excellence in the field of human rights, peace and humanitarian service.

The awards were presented by Dr. Madhu Krishnan, renowned scientist and Chairperson of the American University of Global Peace, USA, at a grand ceremony held at Hotel Ramada, Guindy, Chennai, on 5 September 2026.

Dr. Madhu Krishnan appreciated the awardees for their commitment to promoting the values of human dignity, justice, peace and protection of human rights. The recognition was described as an encouragement for continued humanitarian service and dedicated efforts towards building a more peaceful and equitable society.

The prestigious ceremony was graced by several distinguished dignitaries, including Standing Committee Vice Chairperson B. K. Paranthamban, Advocate Mathivanan, Bishop Rajkumar, State President Senthilnathan Ji, Vice President John Prabhu and District President John Christopher, along with other eminent guests, social workers and representatives of the human rights community.
