Mumbai, Maharashtra - In a major push to Mumbai's redevelopment mission, Redevelopment Bazaar has announced it is in active talks for a targeted Rs. 5,000 Crore Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) inflow for housing society redevelopment projects across Mumbai. The comprehensive Roadmap and Blueprint is ready for execution.

The private initiative is inspired by and aligned with the progressive, pro-housing redevelopment policies of the Government of Maharashtra under the vision of Hon. Deputy Chief Minister Shri Eknath Ji Shinde, which focuses on transparent and speedy redevelopment.

Key Highlights of the Initiative:

  • Rs. 5,000 Crore Investment Talks: In discussions with global investors with surging interest from Japan, Middle East, Dubai and other international markets, as part of a broader global investment target for Mumbai.
  • Global Participation: Redevelopment Bazaar has invited leading international real estate firms, funds and investment companies to participate in Mumbai's redevelopment growth story.
  • Robust Execution: 20 Project Management Consultant (PMC) companies will execute the projects to ensure quality, compliance and time-bound delivery.
  • Registration Window: The redevelopment window for society registration on Redevelopment Bazaar portal will open in October 2026 for 1 month. Target segment is MIG housing societies.
  • Free Platform for Societies: The portal is totally free for housing societies. All services and features are free for them.

Speaking with Founder of Redevelopment Bazaar, Mr. Ravi Alat said:

"This portal is for helping societies in their complete journey of Redevelopment. We have created a single, transparent and free platform where societies get everything they need. In Phase 1, approx 300 housing societies comprising 18,000 families will get new homes with new amenities, free. This entire abhiyaan is named as 'Maharashtra Redevelopment Abhiyaan'."

He further added that many new features for public and housing societies will be launched in a grand Public Seminar to be held soon, which will empower societies with legal, technical and financial guidance.
